PUNTA GALERAS BEACHFRONT RESORT COMMUNITY will contain beachfront Boutique Hotels surrounded by private villas ranging in size from Casita or Bungalow designs to large Luxury Homes. The smaller villas are a great “Condo Alternatives” and will have private gardens and a private parking space. In some cases, the smaller villas will have a private swimming pool, and in others, a shared community pool and social area are the desired alternative. In most cases, the villas are laid out with 2 stories — many with a sunroof. In total, there will approximately 200 residential units — all situated in a private gated community with common area maintenance and 24-hour security. Lifestyles will vary from full-time residency (such as in retirement) to seasonal occupancy. The whole community will be designed for those who want to feel secure that their real estate investment (or home) will be safe and secure when the owners are not in residency.
The Dominican Republic has 6 International Airports from which to choose. The airport of choice is the Samana El Catey International Airport. It currently has wide-body airline service from Toronto and Montreal in Canada and major European cities. The Santo Domingo International Airport would be the next best choice. The drive from Santo Domingo (SDQ) to Samana El Catey (AZS) is about 1 hour and 30 minutes. The drive from El Catey to Las Galeras is also around 1 hour and 30 minutes. The remaining option would be the Puerto Plata International Airport to the west on the north coast. The drive from Puerto Plata is about 2-1/2 hours. The most popular airport in the Dominican Republic is at Punta Cana, however, it is a lengthy drive. Rather than drive direct, the best route takes you past Santo Domingo and the Samana El Catey airport.
Individual Lots set forth in the Site Plan above may be purchased based on a first-come, first-serve basis. All lots currently have Clear Title Deeds and have already been measured and part of the community regulations. Once a lot is chosen and awarded, one of six villa plans may be chosen for construction. All villas are unfurnished, but furniture packages will be available.
The architects of Punta Galeras have designed five different villa models, adapted to the needs of the environment, contemplating large social spaces and areas to share with the family outdoors. Each buyer can choose the model that best fits their needs. Should the buyer request modifications to the designs, our architects will be able to assist them, under contract for this service, with the assurance that they will have expert counseling that respects the pre-established architectural guidelines provided by Punta Galeras. The buyer can also propose their own design as long as it complies with the aforementioned architectural guidelines and is approved by the Architectural Council.
